The Wedding of Emily & Jeremy

Emily and Jeremy were recently wed at the beautiful Darby Dan Farm. As their wedding day approached, everyone was a bit apprehensive
because the weather forecast called for rain, rain, and more rain. Still, we all held out hope that it would clear up and allow the ceremony to
take place outdoors on their riverside terrace.

As it turned out, the rain was pretty much off and on, but the bride decided to take the risk and have everything set up outside for the
ceremony. It looked like it might just work! Just as a few of the guests took their seats, it began to rain again, and everyone jumped up and ran
for cover. Then, just as suddenly as it started, it stopped. And the rain held off for the entire ceremony - YAY!!! It was perfect!

Afterwards, the rain even stayed away and allowed the bride and groom and their wedding party to enjoy a little boat trip on the river.

them off!

This was taken near the main entrance to the Farm, along a white fence that goes on and on and on...

And their ceremony begins...look at this amazing dress!!! Doesn't she look stunning?!!!

As the light began to fade, we found this cute little nook along the river for a few romantic shots.

Now here is an incredible story. Emily and Jeremy cut their cake with this basket-hilt Scottish broadsword, which belonged to Jeremy's great,
great grandfather, John Gage Lecky ( b. 1844 ), who served as a colonel in the British Army as part of the Scottish Highlanders from 1863 - 1883.
It has been used now by three generations of Jeremy's family to cut their wedding cakes, starting with Jeremy's grandfather ( pictured here )
who used it at his own wedding in 1946. The family believes that this tradition brings the couple good luck and happiness!
