The Sangeet of Shweta & Jason
A Sangeet is a traditional Indian wedding event that typically is held just a day or two prior to the actual wedding. There are lots of songs and
dancing and it's really quite informal. Did I mention there is eating - lots of incredible eating! - and it is so much fun!
The colors and the Henna, the laughter and the love - there really is nothing else like it! Now Shweta and Jason are actually getting married this
weekend, but in Chicago, so unfortunately for me I will not be there to see that! Still, I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to
photograph their Sangeet - it was a truly wonderful occasion and one that no one in attendance will soon forget!
